Cybernetic Side Quest
Recently I wrote the following piece for The American Sun, the leading online daily publication on the right. A little something to hold you gremlins over until I get around to finishing part three of our liberal arts series. Consider this your Spring break! You will see here a slight modification of my spigot populism, the introduction of Fully Automated Giga Chad Federalism. This also serves as an alternative proposal to Nick Land’s cybernetics. Y’all know I do not like Moldbug/Yarvin, and became an official contributor to The American Sun by writing this rebuttal, and what might be one of my widest circulated pieces (leading many commentators to speak of “the growing opposition to Yarvin”), but I have always respected Land. Land’s Dark Enlightenment, along with Peter Hitchens interviews, was what lead me to the right, in conjunction with my natural conservative tendencies stemming from being raised Orthodox, and I continue to think he is well worth reading. Given that he is once again the biggest commentator on the right, I wanted to lean into this situation, and work within his conversation, a conversation he inherited from people like Georges Bataille.
